Terms of Use

1. Our Role

Yojra is a technology and payment facilitation platform that facilitates payments from users ("Payers") to tutors, coaching centres, educational institutions, and other approved educational beneficiaries ("Educational Beneficiaries"). Yojra does not provide banking, lending, credit underwriting, financial advisory, or educational services.

When you initiate a payment through the Education Payment Services, you confirm that:

• You are making the payment for a genuine educational expense.
• You have a valid and bona fide relationship or payment obligation with the Educational Beneficiary.
• All information you provide, including beneficiary, student, fee, and payment details, is accurate and complete.

Yojra does not independently determine whether an underlying educational obligation exists or whether the transaction amount is correct. You remain responsible for ensuring that the payment is lawful and correctly directed.

2. Definitions

• Platform: The yojra.com website, application, and associated interfaces through which Education Payment Services are accessed.
• User, You, or Payer: The individual who uses the Platform to initiate an education payment.
• Educational Beneficiary: A tutor, coaching centre, school, college, university, educational institution, or other approved entity receiving the payment.
• Transaction: Any payment instruction initiated through the Platform for an educational expense.
• Third-Party Service Providers: External entities engaged to facilitate payment processing, verification, authentication, security, compliance, or related services.

3. Eligibility

By registering for and using the Education Payment Services, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 18 years of age and legally competent to enter into binding contracts.
• You are not prohibited by applicable law from using the Platform.
• You will provide accurate information and complete any KYC or verification requirements applicable to your use of the services.
• You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and confidentiality of your account information and access credentials.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Education Payment Services for unlawful or prohibited activity, including:

• Making payments for fictitious, fraudulent, or unverifiable educational expenses.
• Using the Platform for money laundering, fraud, or other financial crime.
• Providing false, misleading, or incomplete information.
• Attempting to circumvent security, KYC, authentication, transaction limits, or verification measures.
• Using the Platform in a manner that violates applicable laws, payment-network rules, or regulatory requirements.

Yojra may suspend, restrict, reject, or terminate access where it reasonably suspects misuse, fraud, security concerns, or non-compliance.

5. KYC and Verification

Yojra may require users and or Educational Beneficiaries to provide KYC or verification information, including PAN, Aadhaar, proof of identity, proof of address, or other relevant documentation where required.

You are responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of documents and information provided. Yojra may reject, delay, suspend, or restrict a transaction where required information is incomplete, invalid, inconsistent, or cannot be reasonably verified.

6. Authorization and Payment Processing

By initiating a Transaction, you authorize Yojra and its payment-processing partners, as applicable, to process the designated payment method and route the transaction in accordance with the applicable payment instructions.

Necessary transaction information may be shared with payment gateways, banks, card networks, verification providers, and authorities where required for payment processing, reconciliation, security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

If a Transaction fails before funds are successfully settled to the Educational Beneficiary, an eligible refund may be processed in accordance with the Cancellation and Refund Policy.

7. Transaction Terms

• Accuracy: You are solely responsible for ensuring the correctness of all details entered before confirming a transaction.
• Misdirected Payments: Yojra is not responsible for payments misdirected due to information or instructions incorrectly provided by you. If you identify an error, contact us immediately. We may attempt to assist but cannot guarantee recovery.
• Fraudulent Activity: If a transaction is fraudulent or unauthorised due to your negligence, including sharing credentials or OTPs, you may be responsible for the resulting consequences. Yojra may block the account and report activity where appropriate.
• Suspension or Cancellation: Yojra may delay, suspend, reject, or cancel a transaction where it suspects fraud, security threats, regulatory violations, or other prohibited activity.

8. Fees and Charges

Yojra may charge a convenience, service, or processing fee for eligible transactions. Applicable fees will be disclosed to the user before confirmation of payment.

Any additional charges imposed by the card issuer, bank, payment network, or other third party, including interest or other issuer charges, are the responsibility of the user.

9. Rewards, Cashback and Promotional Offers

Yojra may offer cashback, rewards, discounts, or promotional benefits for eligible transactions. Each offer will be governed by the terms displayed at the time of the offer. Yojra may modify, withdraw, or discontinue an offer in accordance with its stated terms. Rewards credited erroneously or resulting from invalid or reversed transactions may be reversed.

10. Tax Compliance

Users and Educational Beneficiaries are responsible for complying with tax obligations applicable to the underlying education payment. Yojra does not provide tax advice and does not assume responsibility for tax liabilities arising between a payer and an Educational Beneficiary.

11. Refunds and Chargebacks

Refunds

If a Transaction fails before funds are successfully settled to the Educational Beneficiary, an eligible amount may be refunded to the original payment method in accordance with the Cancellation and Refund Policy.

No Refund After Settlement

Once funds have been successfully credited or settled to the Educational Beneficiary, Yojra will not process a refund. Any refund or adjustment arrangement must generally be made directly between the payer and the Educational Beneficiary.

Chargebacks

If you dispute a Transaction with your card issuer and a chargeback is initiated, you agree to cooperate with Yojra and its payment partners in any investigation. Yojra may provide transaction information to the relevant parties as required to respond to the dispute.

12. Wrongful or Excess Credits

Where funds are wrongfully or erroneously credited due to a technical issue, duplicate processing, or other error, Yojra reserves the right, subject to applicable law and payment-system rules, to seek reversal or recovery of such amounts and may suspend or place future transactions on hold until the matter is resolved.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Yojra shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other losses arising from use of the Education Payment Services, including losses caused by third-party payment providers, banks, card networks, Educational Beneficiaries, government actions, outages, or incorrect information provided by the user.

Yojra is not responsible for disputes between a payer and an Educational Beneficiary or for the quality, delivery, legality, or adequacy of the underlying educational service.

14. Force Majeure

Yojra shall not be held liable for delay or failure to perform obligations caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, cyber incidents, network outages, banking or payment-system failures, or failures of third-party service providers.

15. Termination of Access

Yojra may suspend or terminate access to the Education Payment Services if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent, illegal, abusive, or prohibited activity, fail required verification, create security risks, or where required by law or a regulatory or payment-partner directive.

Any pending transaction may be cancelled, completed, or otherwise handled as appropriate, and any eligible refund will be processed in accordance with the Cancellation and Refund Policy.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory rights or remedies available under applicable law, disputes arising from use of the Education Payment Services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

17. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Yojra, its personnel, and service providers from losses, claims, penalties, or damages arising from your misuse of the Education Payment Services, provision of false or inaccurate information, violation of applicable law, or disputes with an Educational Beneficiary, except to the extent caused by Yojra's own unlawful conduct or negligence.

18. Modification of Terms

Yojra reserves the right to modify, amend, or replace these Terms from time to time. Changes will be published on the Platform and the Last Updated date may be revised. Continued use of the Education Payment Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms, subject to applicable law.

20. Acceptance

By using Yojra Education Payment Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Education Payment Services.
